> "Assertion" is the designation for approving things without error. "Match" is approving things without error, having a host to verify it. This means that if the mind has grasping, it definitely has the notion of asserting things. If it has the notion of asserting things, it has the mind of a host verifying the matched thing. Now, since it does not grasp, there should be neither the assertion of approval nor the host matching things; essence and function being severed at once, it is utterly empty. Hence it says "What matches," and so forth.
