- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.9](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1860.3.9)

> Capacities differ into three, but that to which they return is originally one. Although the three vehicles leaving the realm differ, yet casting aside body and life, they together take Great Nirvāṇa as their ultimate dwelling. "Vast and indistinct" describes the appearance of vast waters. From "profound purport" downward, it is like dense bamboo. Śāriputra's ground is filled with clouds of wisdom, yet wisdom is still not knowledge, how much less the shallow sentiments of the ordinary multitude?
