### [1.35](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1861.1.35)

> Ninth, concerning subsumption under the three natures: the Yogācārabhūmi states that the first three minds are indeterminate (avyākṛta), and the fourth and fifth are open to all three natures. This is stated in accordance with an ordinary, non-chaotic object in the causal stage, where one of the five consciousnesses arises in unbroken succession with the sixth consciousness. If in the causal stage the perceptual object is overpowering and strong, the various consciousnesses arise mixed together, concurrently producing all five minds, then all are subsumed under the three natures. If in the anāsrava stage or when mastery is attained, all are mostly wholesome.
