> Through the predominance of the six pāramitās, a bodhisattva obtains six kinds of definiteness: first, definiteness in accomplishing wealth, because by giving one constantly obtains great wealth and achievement; second, definiteness in surpassing rebirth, because by morality one constantly obtains rebirth according to one's wish; third, definiteness in non-retrogression, because by patience through all sufferings one never retrogresses; fourth, definiteness in cultivation, because by vigor one constantly practices the wholesome without interruption; fifth, definiteness in fixed karma, because by meditation the karma of maturing sentient beings never retrogresses; sixth, definiteness in effortlessness, because by wisdom one attains the patient acceptance of the non-arising of dharmas and non-conceptual wisdom abides naturally. In order to accomplish the six pāramitās, a bodhisattva definitely ought to perform six actions throughout the stages: first, one must definitely make offerings; second, one must definitely train in morality; third, one must definitely cultivate compassion; fourth, one must definitely strive in the wholesome; fifth, one must definitely leave noise and turmoil behind; sixth, one must definitely delight in the Dharma. These can successively fulfill the six pāramitā. A bodhisattva must definitely constantly perform six actions: first, revulsion toward the five desires, because of not being attached to the fruition and reward of giving; second, self-examination of faults, meaning that throughout the six periods of the day and night one constantly examines the three karmas one has performed, and upon knowing a fault corrects it; third, enduring suffering; fourth, cultivating the wholesome; fifth, non-relishing, meaning not savoring the taste of dhyāna, constantly taking rebirth in the desire realm; sixth, non-conceptualization. These can successively bring the six pāramitās to completion.
