八識規矩補註 2.5

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.5](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1865.2.5)

此第七識隨所緣第八見分執之為我。執者，封著義。以此識唯具俱生我、法二執任運起故，非是分別我、法二執。何則？以非強思計度起故。於三量中唯是非量，不稱境知恒謬度故，故為非量也。

> Following the darśanabhāga of the eighth \[consciousness\] that it cognizes, this seventh consciousness grasps it as a self. "Grasping" means clinging and adherence. Because this consciousness is endowed solely with the innate two grasps of self and dharmas, arising spontaneously, these are not the conceptually differentiated two grasps of self and dharmas. Why is this? Because they do not arise through forceful deliberation and calculation. Among the three pramāṇas, it is solely fallacious cognition; because it does not know in accord with the objective realm and constantly calculates erroneously, it is fallacious cognition.
