Whatever phenomena there are, such as houses, groves, ponds, lands, and mountains, are all Dharma gates. They are either practices, or stages, or doctrinal meanings, without destroying their phenomenal reality. Still, within every single dust mote all the diverse phenomena of the dharmadhātu are fully present, accomplished by Indra's subtlety; wherever a single phenomenon arises, it is entirely like this. The Three Vehicles and the rest are not like this; they can only state that \[phenomena\] are identical to emptiness, identical to suchness, and so forth, and therefore they are not the same as this. Furthermore, if through the inconceivable power of supernormal faculties \[such things\] are allowed to appear temporarily, it is not that those phenomena are inherently and constantly like this.
