> Fifth, clarifying the pure and the mixed: the dust mote being unarisen means all dharmas are unarisen, which is pure; within this meaning of the dust mote being unarisen, it fully contains principle and phenomena, being both empty and form, both bodhi and nirvāṇa, and so forth, which is mixed. Principle does not obstruct phenomena, so the pure is always mixed; phenomena are always entirely principle, so the mixed is always pure. Because principle and phenomena are unhindered, the pure and the mixed are unobstructed.
