> First, the pervasive aspect of a single mote of dust universally encompassing the dharma-realm. That is, a mote of dust has no self-nature; gathering the real, it is established. Since the real is boundless, the dust is also like this. A sūtra says: 'In all the dust motes of the Padmagarbha World Realm, / In each and every dust mote the dharma-realm is seen; / Jewel-light manifests buddhas gathering like clouds— / This is the sovereignty of the Tathāgata's lands.' Based on this meaning, one should know that a single mote of dust universally encompasses the dharma-realm.
