- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.27](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1883.2.27)

> The commentary says: In this tenth gate, phenomena are viewed from principle, having only two pairs: first, clarifying that phenomena are characteristics, which implicitly reveals that in the ninth \[gate\] principle is nature, making four pairs in all; second, that which relies and that which is relied upon are not different from the previous gate; the text can be understood accordingly. If based on this pair, the two truths stand opposed: regarding the truths they are always naturally two; the seventh and eighth gates, regarding understanding, are always naturally one; the fifth and sixth are two yet not two; the third and fourth are not two yet two; and through the first pair, the preceding meanings are all enabled to be mutually established.
