- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.184](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1885.1.184)

> Melting vases, basins, hairpins, and bracelets into one gold; turning milk, curd, butter, and ghee into a single flavor. The meaning is: Harmoniously resolving the conditionally arisen illusory forms into true emptiness. 'Contemplation' is the contemplating wisdom, which takes its name from the contemplated object. Or it may be that the emptiness to which \[forms\] return is the essence, while contemplation is the wisdom's functioning, explained according to the two types \[of compound\]: dependent on the principal or holding the action. The following are all similar to this. For those whose minds are penetrative, they can resolve and return; for those whose intellects are blocked, they must dispel and eliminate. Delusional sentiments held for a long time are difficult to eliminate, so four gates are distinguished.
