- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.77](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1885.2.77)

> A person of non-action and no-affairs / Still encounters the hardship of golden chains. In this verse, "obstructed" means blocked and not penetrating. "Constantly" means for a long time. If true suchness did not have the function of according with conditions, then truth and delusion would be permanently blocked and not penetrate. A monk asked Fayan: "When sentiment arises, wisdom is obstructed; what about when sentiment has not yet arisen?" The Master said: "Obstructed." This is the meaning.
