> The ground of ultimate principle / Does not accept a single dust mote. The meaning is: principle is that which can eliminate; phenomena are that which is eliminated. By means of the one true, unchanging principle, the myriad differentiated phenomena are completely eliminated. The Contemplation says: "Because outside of true principle, not a shred of phenomena can be found. It is like eliminating waves with water: waves are completely exhausted. This means water remains, destroying waves so that they are exhausted." The principle revealed by the four gates, upon reaching here, becomes that which can eliminate. This gate is exclusively the meaning of unchangingness.
