> Fa's Record says: Regarding 'The Middle Way is common to words and non-words. Why? The true mark of all phenomena does not lie within words, etc.': Question: 'What is the distinction between the Middle Way and the true mark?' Answer: 'Since the Middle Way is said to be common to words and non-words, it is common to realization and teaching. Since the true mark does not lie within words, it is solely realization. That is, taking meaning as teaching, there is no meaning outside of teaching, because teaching has no bias. Teaching is the Middle Way, and meaning is also like this; therefore, it is the Middle Way of realization.'
