> Furthermore, to the north of the small lane, it is divided into two courtyards on the east and west. The courtyard on the western side is called the Courtyard Where Śaikṣas Dwell and Listen to the Dharma. Its gate faces the southern lane, and its halls, ponds, and groves reflect each other, no different from those above. Mahābrahmā made a celestial konghou entirely of silver and placed it in this courtyard. When the time arrives, the Trāyastriṃśa devas blow into it to produce sound; up to the heaven of Neither Perception nor Non-perception, the holy ones hear the exposition of the Six Perfections, while ordinary beings hear it as the sound of a konghou. The courtesans of the city of Śrāvastī mostly came to observe and listen, deriving enjoyment from the five desires; because they attained joy, they were awakened to the initial holy path.
