> Investigating principle from this contemplation factor, one claims that in all phenomena an effect exists within the cause. This understanding is luminous and sharp, penetrating profound meanings that surpass other people. Applying this to challenge others, others cannot understand and are called liars; clinging to one's own proposition, others cannot refute it, and one considers oneself to be true, lacking the genuine wisdom of non-arising and the subtle mind that attains principle. If investigated closely, it is merely the delusion of views. Worldly wisdom and dialectical cleverness are fully endowed with the net of eighty-eight anusayas of inverted delusion—how could this relate to genuine understanding? One should know that this is the characteristic of the arising of Kapila's view.
