> Regarding vocal speech and silence: in advance, recite one text of the dhāraṇī spell until fluent. During the first period of the day, with different mouths but the same voice, invoke and invite three times the Three Jewels, the ten Buddhas, the Vaipulya parents, and the ten Dharma Princes. The ritual for invocation is in the Guoqing bailu. When the invitation is finished, burn incense, direct the mind, and make offerings with the three karmas. Having completed the offerings, pay homage to the Three Jewels previously invited. Having paid homage, with sincere heart, weep and shed tears, confessing and repenting sins and faults. When finished, rise and circumambulate one hundred and twenty circuits, one circuit per spell, neither slow nor fast, neither loud nor soft. When circumambulation with the spell is finished, pay homage to the ten Buddhas, the Vaipulya, and the ten Dharma Princes. Having done this, sit back down and contemplate; having finished contemplating, rise again to circumambulate with the spell; when circumambulation with the spell is finished, sit back down again and contemplate, cycling around and beginning again. For the full seven days, the method is like this. From the second period onward, abridge the invocation; the rest is entirely as usual.
