> Therefore the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa says: 'In refuting nirvāṇa, it does not refute the nirvāṇa attained by the sage; it is only because learners have not yet attained nirvāṇa and grasp it into conceptual elaboration that it speaks of refuting nirvāṇa.' If so, one refutes them all using the expedient means of analyzing dharmas. There are four gates in all, and in every single gate the ten dharmas are fully present: from discerning correct conditioned co-arising up to not giving rise to attachment to dharmas, one is able to see the supreme truth across the various gates. Therefore we know that the calming and contemplation analyzing dharmas across the four gates of the Tripiṭaka is definitively the Hīnayāna.
