> Second, clarifying the half and the full: The 'half' clarifies the nine-division Dharma; the 'full' clarifies the twelve-division Dharma. Worldly tradition transmits that only with the permanence of the Nirvāṇa Sutra is there finally fullness, while all the rest are half. Bodhiruci said: 'The Tripiṭaka is the half; from Prajñā onward, all are full.' Now we clarify that the terminology of half and full merely supports and completes \[the distinction between\] small and large. Earlier we classified small and large by analysis and embodiment; now we likewise classify half and full by embodiment and analysis, as discussed above.
