- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.71](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1911.3.71)

> Now this should be illustrated by an analogy: it is like a blind person whose eyes are first opened, seeing space and seeing form. Although they see form, they cannot distinguish the varieties of herbs and trees, roots and stems, branches and leaves, or kinds of medicines and poisons. When one enters emptiness from the provisional following wisdom, one likewise sees the two truths but cannot employ the provisional. If, after their eyes are opened, a person can see space and see form, they instantly recognise the kinds, thoroughly comprehend causes and conditions, and recognise and make use of both the coarse and subtle, medicine and food, benefiting others. This is an analogy for entering the provisional from emptiness: \[knowing\] both the true as true and the conventional \[as conventional\], one precisely employs the provisional; because it is for transforming sentient beings, it is called 'entering the provisional'. That it is also called equality has the same sense as explained above.
