- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [7.120](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1911.7.120)

> The Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā-sūtra says: "Because giver, receiver, and gift are unobtainable, the dāna-pāramitā is perfected." Eliminating the three items and having no attachment precisely corresponds to the essence of dāna. As for that which should be considered complete: practicing both the giving of wealth and the giving of Dharma, dāna is called complete, and both the concrete phenomenon and the principle are perfected. Because it benefits both self and others, it is called "complete." Concretely, it shatters the stinginess regarding things and is able to relinquish wealth; in principle, it shatters the stingy mind and is able to relinquish Dharma. The two shatterings and the two relinquishments, with essence and function complete, are called "pāramitā."
