- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [8.8](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1911.8.8)

> If delusions of view arise after concentration has already been aroused, they are what is contemplated below; if defilements arise before concentration has been aroused, they are precisely what is contemplated now. If there are dull ones within the sharp, seeing the truths only severs the sharp, and the dull should still remain. The Abhidharma masters call the dull that accompany the sharp 'proclivities on the back'; when seeing the truths severs \[delusions\], since the primary sharp ones are eliminated, the proclivities on the back are also eliminated. It is also like this with cultivation \[of the path\].
