無作生四解中，初句總標。初生生滅者，菩薩不斷不證無作。生無生中，三乘同證無生之理。生無量中，地前為權、登地為實。斷已不作故名無作。生無作中，地前二諦即是登地中道故也，故云權實相即。

> Within producing the four understandings of the uncreated, the first phrase is a general heading. First, producing \[the understanding of\] arising and perishing: the bodhisattva neither severs nor realizes the uncreated. In producing \[the understanding of\] non-arising, the three vehicles together realize the principle of non-arising. In producing \[the understanding of\] the immeasurable, prior to the bhūmis is provisional, and ascending the bhūmis is real. Having severed, there is no further creation; therefore it is called the uncreated. In producing \[the understanding of\] the uncreated, it is because the two truths prior to the bhūmis are precisely the Middle Way of ascending the bhūmis; hence it says provisional and real are mutually identical.
