> Third, regarding harmonizing the three items at the time of emerging: when the practitioner's seated meditation is about to end and they wish to emerge from concentration, they should first let go of the mind \[toward\] different conditions, open the mouth and exhale air, visualizing it dispersing freely through the hundred channels, and only then gently move the body. Next, move the shoulders, upper arms, hands, head, and neck. Next, move both feet, making them all supple. Next, rub all the pores with the hands. Next, rub the hands until warm and cover both eyes with them, and only then open them. Wait until the body heat has slightly abated, and only then may one go out or come in as one pleases. If one does not do so, although one may have attained stability of mind while sitting, emerging abruptly will leave the subtle phenomena undispersed and remaining in the body, causing headaches and stiffness in all the joints like wind-exhaustion. In subsequent sittings, one will be agitated and restless. Therefore, when the mind wishes to emerge from concentration, one must always take care. This is the method for harmonizing the body, breath, and mind upon emerging from concentration, as it proceeds from the subtle to the coarse. This is called skillfully entering, abiding in, and emerging. As a verse says:
