> Third, elucidating cultivation and realization. The reason it says 'having notions of internal forms, one perceives external forms as few' is that because the objects conditioned are few, it is called 'few'. Because the path of contemplation is not yet augmented, one contemplates few conditions; if one were to contemplate many, one fears it would be difficult to rein in. Just as a deer roving untamed cannot be let loose far away. What is called contemplating few? The practitioner themselves contemplates seeing the impurity of their own body, and also contemplates the impurity, swelling, rot, and white bones of someone beloved, and their mind is intensely revulsed, as explained in the first liberation.
