> Third, explaining the cultivation of the supernormal knowledge of others' minds. After the practitioner has heard sounds, if they wish to know the matters thought by sentient beings' minds, they should right within dhyāna absorption contemplate the person before them with their signs of joy, signs of anger, fear, and so forth, knowing entirely that these abide depending on the mind. Borrowing these signs, they deeply contemplate the dharmas upon which that mind conditions and reflects, single-mindedly vowing and wishing to know them. If the mind is sharp and bright, the supernormal knowledge erupts through this: conforming to whatever sentient beings are seen, they immediately know the matters thought in their minds. This is called the supernormal knowledge of others' minds.
