> Furthermore, if the practitioner's contemplation of the mind corresponds with principle, that itself is the sign of the elimination of guilt; one need not labor to seek anything else. Therefore, the \*Sūtra on Contemplating Samantabhadra\* says: 'If one causes this wisdom of emptiness to correspond with the mind, know that in a single thought one can eliminate the grave offenses of birth-and-death of hundreds of thousands of myriads of koṭis of asaṃkhyeya kalpas.' Taking this as proof, if one attains the wisdom of the endurance of non-arising, one exhausts the source of guilt. Thereupon śīla is pure, and one can cultivate dhyāna-concentration.
