> "Birth and death are unceasing,
> Because of greed for desires and relish for flavors.
> Nourishing the enemy and entering the burial mounds,
> One extensively undergoes various hardships.
> The body stinks like a dead corpse,
> With nine orifices discharging impurities;
> Just as toilet worms delight in dung,
> The foolish greed for the body is no different.
> The wise should contemplate the body,
> Not craving or being stained by the world.
> Free of burdens and free of desires,
> This is called true nirvāṇa.
> As the Buddhas have taught,
> Practicing with single mind and intention,
> Counting the breath in dhyāna-concentration,
> This is called practicing dhūta."
