> First, cultivating purification: knowing that form is pure, one does not give rise to false imagination and discrimination; feeling, perception, volitional formations, and consciousness are also like this. Quieting the defilement of false imagination, quieting the defilement of discrimination, and quieting the defilement of grasping at self: this is called cultivating purification. To state the essence: if the mind can be like original purity, this is called cultivating purification; also finding neither the cultivator nor the cultivated, nor purity and impurity: this is called cultivating purification.
