### [9.43](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1916.9.43)

> "Free from distressful fever" means free from the distressful fever of the three poisons and of birth and death. "Not depending on time" means that while the reception of teachings by various non-Buddhists must depend upon seasons and timings, the Buddhadharma is not like that; just as firewood burns immediately upon encountering fire, it does not depend on time. "Able to reach an excellent destination" means that if one practices the Buddhadharma, one will inevitably arrive at the blissful results of humans and gods, and the place of the nirvāṇa of the three vehicles. "Penetrating without hindrance" means that because one has attained the three Dharma seals, one penetrates without hindrance. When I cultivate such Dharmas, of what should I be afraid? By single-mindedly recollecting them, terror is immediately eliminated.
