> Fifth, the tangible āyatana. All tactile form that faces the body is called the tangible. There are two kinds of tangible objects that encompass all tangible objects: first, tangible objects at the locus of the form of primary retribution, which are the sixteen tangibles such as cold, warmth, roughness, and smoothness in the bodies of sentient beings; second, tangible objects at the locus of the form of environmental retribution, which are the sixteen tangibles such as cold and warmth in external insentient form.
