> Second is the immeasurable mind of compassion. The mind capable of pulling others out of suffering is called 'compassion'. When a practitioner in meditative absorption thinks of suffering sentient beings to make them attain liberation, meditative absorption arises among the mental factors; this is called the meditative absorption of compassion. This mind associated with compassion is free of anger, free of hatred, free of enmity, and free of vexation; when skillfully cultivated and realized, it is vast, immeasurable, and pervades the ten directions; this is the immeasurable mind of compassion.
