> The four aspects under the truth of cessation: 1. The aspect of exhaustion: contemplating that in nirvāṇa the various sufferings are exhausted; hence it is called exhaustion. 2. The aspect of cessation: contemplating that in nirvāṇa the fires of all afflictions are extinguished; hence it is called cessation. 3. The aspect of excellence: nirvāṇa is foremost among all things; hence it is called excellence. 4. The aspect of departure: contemplating that nirvāṇa is departed from the worldly dharmas of birth and death; hence it is called departure.
