> These twelve links of dependent origination are all completely present in a single person in a single thought-moment, and they all come from the text of the Mahāsaṃnipāta-sūtra, without a single phrase of personal interpolation; readers should investigate carefully. This is vastly different from the commonly spoken dependent origination across the three lifetimes. If there is anyone who wishes to train in the Buddha's path of dependent origination, the characteristics of dependent origination have been explained in three ways from above to this point; if one cultivates and trains in accordance with any one of these gates, one will immediately realize the cognition of a pratyekabuddha.
