> Twelfth: nature-emptiness. Nature-emptiness: 'nature' means existing of itself, not depending on causes and conditions. If it depends on causes and conditions, it is a constructed dharma and is not named 'nature.' Now within all dharmas there is no nature. Why is this? All conditioned dharmas are born from causes and conditions; being born from causes and conditions, they are constructed dharmas. If not from the conjunction of causes and conditions, they are non-existent dharmas. In this way, the nature of all dharmas is unapprehendable, therefore it is called nature-emptiness.
