> Second, the jewel-seal samādhi. Regarding the jewel-seal samādhi: it can seal all samādhis. Among all jewels, the Dharma jewel is real, and can provide benefit in the present life, in future lives, and even up to nirvāṇa. Just as the Buddha said to the monks: 'I teach the Dharma for you, namely the Dharma-seal.' 'Dharma' is reality; 'seal' is the gate of liberation. In the teachings of the Tripiṭaka, three dharmas serve as the Dharma-seal; in the Mahāyāna teachings, there is only the single Dharma-seal of the true nature of all dharmas. The samādhi corresponding to the prajñā of the true nature is called the jewel-seal samādhi.
