The wisdom-power of pratyekabuddhas is superior, like a great fire burning wood: the wood burns and the charcoal is consumed, yet ashes remain. The wisdom-power of the Buddhas is immense, like the great fire that burns the kalpa: ashes and charcoal are both utterly consumed.'
