> First is contemplating the inconceivable realm: namely, contemplating that a single thought-moment of the mind is completely endowed with, without reduction, the three thousand natures and characteristics, the hundred realms and thousand suchnesses; this very realm is simultaneously empty, provisional, and middle, without before and after, vast and consummate, horizontally and vertically unhindered. Thus the Lotus Sutra says: "The carriage was tall and wide." (Those of superior faculties directly contemplate this realm.)
