> Answer: The svasaṃbhoga-kṣetra is designated as ‘for oneself’; one cannot mount a vow to let another use it. The parasaṃbhoga-kṣetra is already ‘for others’; by mounting that superior condition, one can also attain rebirth. Furthermore, the svasaṃbhoga-kṣetra is exceedingly subtle; one cannot mount a vow and attain rebirth \[there\]. The parasaṃbhoga-kṣetra is manifested for others; even though it is subtle, it allows those below to see it. Furthermore, the parasaṃbhoga-kṣetra has a fundamental vow; mounting its fundamental vow, pṛthagjanas can attain rebirth. The svasaṃbhoga-kṣetra has no fundamental vow; for this reason it does not allow bodhisattvas to see it.
