> Question: Regarding fragmented saṃsāra, texts such as the Da zhidu lun state that "one receives a worm-body and a flesh-body," and the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra states that "in the body of an avaivartika bodhisattva there are no eighty thousand families of worms." Since they have fragmented saṃsāra, they must have worm-bodies. If they have them, the Amitābha Sūtra says that the Buddha land is free of the three bad destinies; how then could there be eighty thousand families of worms? Affirmation and negation contradict each other; how do you explain this?
