- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.47](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1967.2.47)

> The principle that is contemplated is like a violent vairambha wind blowing away dense clouds to reveal and illuminate the pure jewel moon of the dharmakāya, destroying the obstacle of afflictive distress. Is this not truly administering medicine in response to the illness? (This is the interpretation of Great Master Tiantai Zhizhe. Having not surveyed broadly, I have truly never seen any master offer such a wondrous explanation. The meaning of śamatha and vipaśyanā has already been briefly distinguished above; it awaits oral explanation and cannot be verified by writing alone.) Once I transform others, others also transform beings; when both beings and self are perfected, the samādhi flourishes all the more; as sentient beings are endless, the samādhi never ceases.
