> Miscellaneous Accounts states: "Among the common folk of Wenzhou, there was a woman who suddenly passed away while sitting. Later, in the vessel containing her ash and bones, a blue lotus flower grew. The multitude found it extraordinary." At that time, Chan Master Zhijue Shou heard and saw it, and composed a verse in praise, saying:
> "The gate of the mind's nature
> Is shared in common with the thousand sages.
> Her spirit returned to the Pure Land;
> A lotus emerged from the basin of ash."
