I first pray that disciple \[so-and-so\], living in this present world, may be free from all sickness, disaster, and difficulty (pray as one wishes); that at the end of life I may know the time one month in advance; that transformation Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will come to welcome me; that the western realm will appear entirely in the sky, remaining for a long while so that all people may see it; that I may peacefully pass away as if entering dhyāna concentration, and thereupon see Amitābha Buddha, realize the forbearance of the non-arising of dharmas, and attain the six supernatural powers; and that within one year of this world, I may return to this place to teach and transform sentient beings, gradually transforming this Jambudvīpa and the entire world, and even immeasurable worlds of the ten directions, so that all become the pure Sukhāvatī.'
