> I announce to all practitioners: You should know that as for the bodily marks and light of Amitābha, the Tathāgata Śākyamuni could not finish describing them in an eon. As the Guan jing says: "Each ray of light shines universally upon the worlds of the ten directions, embracing and never forsaking the sentient beings who practice the mindfulness of the Buddha." Now since the Guan jing speaks of such inconceivable, supreme, and superior conditions that embrace and protect practitioners, why not continuously recite \[his name\], contemplate \[him\], bow \[to him\], be mindful of \[him\], and vow to attain rebirth in the Pure Land? You should know this.
