- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.35](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1993.1.35)

> Ascending the hall, he said: "Roaming through the Flower Treasury World, manifold and inexhaustible; yet arriving at the place of the Buddha Dīpaṃkara, not a single dharma exists. Therefore, within nothingness there is also existence: Deshan's staff is like scattering stars; within existence there is also nothingness: Linji's shout is like a clap of thunder. As if deaf, as if mute, filling heaven and earth—how many can there be who know pain and know itching?" He descended from the seat.
