- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.83](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1995.2.83)

> "Ascending the hall on New Year's Day: The new year initiates good fortune; in India and in this land, all things are renewed. The xiezhi and the qilin bring blessings in accordance with the season; sincere words are not false. Early spring is still cold, with diverse matters in abundance. I respectfully pray that the head monk and the great assembly may share its use throughout the realm; that the duty-distributors, holding talent and embracing righteousness, along with all the fundraising monastics, like dragons and like tigers, enjoy myriad blessings in bodily health and daily life. May you be truly like gold and like jade, and throughout the three hundred and sixty days of each year, surely have plenty of gruel and plenty of rice."
