> He cited: "When Emperor Tongguang had various Chan masters sit, he said: 'We have acquired the treasure of the Central Plains, but there is no one who can assess its price.' Xinghua said: 'What is Your Majesty's treasure of the Central Plains?' The Emperor with both hands took hold of the ribbons of his turban. Xinghua said: 'Who would dare to assess the price of the ruler's treasure?'" The Master said: "What the Supreme One obtained can only be looked on from the side. If it were not for Xinghua being an adept, it would often have been assessed at a high price."
