The World-Honoured One addressed Kāśyapa, saying, 'Which Mañjuśrī do you now wish to expel?' Kāśyapa was bewildered." > The Master said, "A bell does not ring if not struck; a drum does not sound if not beaten. Kāśyapa having blocked the vital crossing, Mañjuśrī then cut off the ten directions. At that moment it was quite a Buddhist event, yet he let a move pass.
