- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [18.48](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1997.18.48)

> Zhaozhou and Elephant Bone Cliff: / in all the world, without peer. / Together they strum the stringless lute, / purifying people's ears for a thousand years. / An ancient ravine, a cold spring; / staring with wide eyes, utterly still. / Not entering through the mouth: / the one who drinks forgets the snare. / Again speaking out: / bitter, and moreover dead. / Not answering questions: / the same on both sides. / Two masters meeting: / beating the drum and playing the pipa. / Right here, which one is correct? / A white bird enters the reed blossoms.
