### [20.66](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1997.20.66)

> I bow my head to the true ancient buddha of Caoxi, / Who served as a kalyāṇamitra for eighty lifetimes. / Manifesting as unable to read worldly texts, / He spoke in eloquent verse off the cuff, penetrating the treasury of Dharma. / Leaves falling back to the roots for hundreds of autumns, / His adamantine body remains steady on the rock of Shao. / Dazzling like the bright sun illuminating the vast sky, / Radiant like the dragon's pearl shining upon the Supreme Ultimate. / Concentration and wisdom, completely luminous, expand equal compassion; / Echoing what is sought just like an empty valley. / The sands of the Ganges may be counted, but his virtues are immeasurable, / All springing forth from the power of that fellow's vows of compassion.
