- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.36](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1997.3.36)

> Bringing up the appointment of Head Monk Tai as an established monk, \[the Master\] ascended the hall and said: "A great person possesses great sight; great wisdom attains great function. In a single flight, it rests for six months; a single promise is worth a thousand pieces of gold. Reaching the sky, it must be the rivers and seas; lofty and towering, it must be the mountain peaks. Those who know first awaken those who do not yet know; those who awaken first awaken those who awaken later. Opening the inexhaustible storehouse, hauling out the priceless treasure; not relying upon a single thing, revealing the original person."
